FAQ

Is there a numbing product?

No, unfortunately, there is no effective way to numb the skin. But, at our waxing studio, we use specific techniques to make your experience as comfortable and as pain-free as possible.

What's a Brazilian wax?

A Brazilian wax is the removal of all pubic hair, front and back, using hard honey wax. Everything is optional.

Will I get ingrown hair?

As it was said before, every skin reacts differently. Since waxing treatments remove hair from the root, the hair is weakened and, as the skin naturally hardens, the hair might not have the strength to come out.

To prevent this from occurring, we recommend to exfoliate two days after the treatment and continue to do it until your next appointment at our waxing studio. After the waxing treatment, avoid working out, tanning, and wearing tight clothes for 24 hrs.

What should I expect after my first treatment hairless skin?

Every skin reacts differently: you might not have any post-wax effects, but few people have minor irritations that goes away after 24 hours.

Also, as the hair grows back, you might experience slight itchiness. Proper post-wax care, like exfoliating and hydrating the waxed area, will alleviate this symptom quickly. If you have a special event coming up, we recommend you wax 2 days prior to the event.

Should I do anything before my waxing treatment?

Make sure the area to be waxed is clean. Do not put on lotion or any other product right before the waxing treatment. Additionally, certain medications and products cannot be taken if you are planning on having a waxing treatment, including:

  • Exfoliants such as retina-a, Renova, and hydroquinone
  • Oral acne medication such as Accutane
  • Blood-thinning medications
  • Topical or oral cortisone

Products like these increase the likelihood of irritation and other complications following your waxing.

Please let us know if you are unsure if you should be waxed while using medication.

How often should I get waxed?

Visit our waxing studio every three to four weeks. Your skin will be less sensitive if waxed regularly and it also reduces ingrown hair. You might even experience less hair growth over time. Avoid shaving between waxes because shaving interrupts the waxing treatment efficiency.

How long should my hair be for waxing?

When you come into our waxing studio, your hair should be at least 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch for best results. If your hair is longer than that, we recommend trimming carefully, but don't go too short. It may take up to three treatments to achieve smooth skin for a longer period of time because hair grows in different stages and all of your hair is never at the same stage.
